Hi, I’m Mark Granlund.
I am an artist (painting, printmaking, drawing), arts administrator (twenty nine years of arts and public art programming), and a writer exploring the natural and artistic world. Here on my Substack, you will find my writings about my projects, and how I go about making things. You will also find many images of my art, finished and unfinished.
I am not a typical artist/writer where I am trying to create “lessons” from which you can become better at an art technique. I share what I think and how I approach the world. I share my projects - I think and move forward in terms of projects or bodies of work.
